AyuDira began in 2015 when we discovered a 250-year-old Javanese Joglo in Central Java, featuring a traditional carved Tumpang Sari ceiling. Over the following two years, we worked with skilled local craftsmen to carefully reconstruct this Joglo and a smaller, historic Gladak house on our property in Ubud, Bali.

Every element, from the reclaimed teak and ironwood to the handmade Javanese cement tiles, was sourced during our travels across the archipelago, bringing a piece of our personal journey to the space we now share with you.
