Experience the living heritage of Java and Bali in the heart of Ubud.

Ayu Dira Heritage House is a family-built, restored heritage property, where antiquity meets modern comforts. At its heart sits a 250-year-old Javanese Joglo, a pavilion of hand-carved teak and history, moved from Central Java to be given a new life in Bali.

  • “Hidden gem. Don’t hesitate, just book if you want to spend some beautiful time in Ubud. Great villa with only three rooms, small pool, fantastic service, beautiful surroundings and great aesthetics. Feels intimate, special, and like a true hidden gem. The architecture and design details are just stunning.”

  • “Beautiful stay at Ayu Dira! Had a wonderful time during my stay here — topnotch service, stunning surroundings, and great location. I love the rooms, super comfy and I felt like a queen! Usually hang out in the joglo, sooo Instagrammable and comfortable… Highly recommend. Five stars. I always stay here whenever I’m in Ubud. Thank you and see you next time!!!!”

  • “The most beautiful, comfortable experience. This property is the immaculate culmination, vision and blend of traditional Balinese and western architectural beauty. It houses gorgeous furnishing, open plan layouts, beautiful designed and carved features in gorgeous Balinese style. It boasts a number of rooms that are exceptionally well fitted with comfortable beds, bedding, amenities and are so well presented that it is almost a crime to sleep upon / use them…We will return time and again.”

  • “What's not to like about this charming, beautifully built heritage house? We just loved it!…The room we had was large and very comfortable and you walked straight out to a pool that was perfect for a dip on a hot afternoon. Although it was 10 minutes out of the centre of Ubud, getting a Grab car never took long - and it was worth the journey to be in a quieter location at night. Definitely a favourite for us in Bali.”

  • "Thank you for a wonderful couple of days in your beautiful house! Beautiful house with a great communal area overlooking lush vegetation, comfortable rooms and lovely garden. Situated nicely out of the hectic centre of Ubud, close to a local juice bar and restaurants... We had a great stay!"

  • “Balinese paradise. Ayu Dira Heritage House was the most beautiful accommodation on our Indonesia trip!… We stayed in the wooden bungalow which is equipped with a large comfortable double bed, enough storage space, and a fantastic outdoor bathroom. The room is very nice, with a lot of lovely details…. Right in front of the bungalow there is the pool area which is so beautiful and perfect to relax. We would definitely recommend this place to everyone who’s looking for an especially beautiful place to stay near Ubud.”

  • “I mean, what’s not to like? Our stay here was amazing! That good we booked 3 extra nights. This gave us the opportunity to test both the little house and the normal room. Both are more than great and super comfortable! The house is cute and totally fits the Bali vibe! The rooms are nice and spacious as well, maybe even a little more luxurious. Everything you can think about is provided.”

    — Vincent (Belgium)

  • “Best, cleanest, most professional accommodation in Ubud…We have stayed in several places across Bali and this is by all means one of the best accommodations we have had! Rooms are meticulously clean, with beautiful furniture in Balinese style and are very spacious. Also, there is only 3 of them, so even if you are not travelling as a larger group, there will be only few people that you may encounter during your stay…I would definitely come again, thank you so so much!”
